Term 2 At SBCC
Be sure to download our latest course guide on the upper lefthand corner of this page to see what's on at your local Community Centre in Term 2, 2012.
Of special note is our Ukulele Workshop for which we are now registering participants, so please call us on 5243 8388 to secure a place in this exciting workshop.
Also coming up in Term 2 are some new technology and computer oriented groups that will provide new ways to learn and enjoy using new tecnologies with more confidence in a fun atmosphere.
Term 2 is also time for the Annual SBCC book Sale! This year's will be held on Saturday 19th of May from 9am to 2pm at our offices at 33 Mt Pleasant Rd. Belmont. We'll also be taking donations of books up until this date.
Be sure to contact the Centre on 5243 8388 during our office hours of 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday for more information or to register your interest in anything we have on offer.

Welcome to 2012 at SBCC
The South Barwon Community Centre wishes everyone a healthy and happy 2012!
Our program for Term 1, 2012 is now available by clicking on the link in the upper left hand corner of this page. Please contact the Centre for more information or to register for any of our courses and activities.
One of the new things happening at your Community Centre in 2012 is Food Swap.
Do you have too much homegrown food? Come to our Food Swap, the second Saturday morning of every month and bring along your food and swap it for something else.
Turn lettuce into tomatoes! Turn jam into carrots!
The Food Swap begins at 9:30am and goes through til 11am at 33 Mt Pleasant Rd, Belmont.
If you don't have anything to swap you can also buy unswapped food from 10:30 on, after the swapping has been done.

Term 4 At South Barwon Community Centre

Kindermusik with Robyn Hodge @ SBCC Term 4 2011
Kindermusik® is about kids, parents, and teachers—coming together and having a great time! It’s about helping you grow closer to your child. Enriching her environment and her development. Giving him a lifelong love of music and a foundation for learning
Regular Kindermusik classes
Mondays 10:30-11:15am & Saturdays 9:30-10:15am
Family Time for ages 0-7yrs 10 weeks commencing the week of October 10
Cost: $170 per family including home materials (CDs, books and instruments)
Playdates
Monday afternoons 2:30pm (Preschoolers 3-5yrs), Tuesday & Wednesday mornings 9:15 (Babies 0-18m) and 10:30 (Toddlers 18m – 3 yrs)
Bring your friends along for a single Kindermusik playdate class -45 minutes of singing, moving, playing and exploring a variety of themes. You’ll take home lots of great ideas to help enhance your child’s language learning and motor skill development.
Cost: $15 which includes a take home instrument and music download card or CD. To book, call Robyn on 0427 571 453

On the Road for Preschoolers Mondays 2:15-3pm commencing 7th November – Cost: $90

SBCC Computer Courses Program Added
In the top left hand corner of our blog you'll notice we've added a second program to download. This is a specific program exclusively for SBCC's computer courses. As these don't change on a term-to-term basis and are often too numerous to fit all of them into our term program, we've given them their own document that allows the space to cover much more information.
Also included in the program is all the necessary information to book a place for them, so please browse or print out the program and get in contact with SBCC if anything takes your fancy.

Term 3 At SBCC
We now have the full program for Term 3 2011 available for download from the link on the left hand side of this page. We hope you find something that takes your interest, and if you have any suggestions for other activities or courses please contact the centre at info@sbccc.org.au or call on 5243 8388.
Note: as listed in the current program there has been a price increase in some of our courses, namely the One On One Computer Help has gone up from gold coin donation to $5 a session and the Computer Courses have gone up from $10 per session to $15 per session. This increase has been a necessity to cover our increasing costs but we hope you find our offerings still good value for money.

Last chance for Bird On A Stick Mosaic workshop!
We have a small number of places left for the Bird On A Stick Mosaic workshop running this Saturday June 4 from 1pm - 5pm. This workshop provides an excellent intorduction to the medium of mosaic work and the cost of $55 includes all materials as well as instruction.
Please contact the centre on 5243 8388 between 9am and 5pm to secure a place in this great session to unleash your artistic creativity!
